Japanese certified organic tea. It was harvested in early spring after light shading to boost chlorophyll, plucked, steamed, and pan-fired, and lastly ground with stone into a fine powder. It is the tea used for Japanese tea ceremony (hence, ceremonial grade). This grade of matcha is not intended to be blended into a smoothie or an ice cream. To get the best out of it, just add a bit of hot water.
