Our Everspring Oolong Tea is a blend of the Si Ji Chun cultivar from Yilan, Taipei, and Nantou counties of Taiwan. Si Ji Chun is one of the very few cultivars that can be harvested all four seasons of the year, making it quite a bit less expensive than those teas that can only be harvested once or twice per year. Because of this break on the price, we can taste the work of an expert teamaster who is almost eighty, but whose infectious energy keeps her whole team going strong through each three-week harvest cycle. As we lovingly call her, Grandma Ai makes a consistently delicious tea.
