Harvested in early spring after light shading to boost chlorophyll, plucked, steamed, and pan-fired, and lastly ground with stone into a fine powder. This matcha is the tea used for Japanese tea ceremony (hence, ceremonial grade). Ceremonial Matcha is not intended to be blended into a smoothie or an ice cream. For the best result, just add a bit of hot water.
